The Institute of Ophthalmology in Bangladesh provided three surgical teams to conduct the eye clinic in the district, which is located in the very south-west corner of the country.

The camp has provided hope for many in a region that was heavily affected by the devastation of Cyclone Aila in May 2009.

In 2010 The Foundation’s program work in Bangladesh will officially move out of a three-year pilot phase and will be expanding into four districts.
